Rumored! iPad 3 parts fit perfectly together. iLab reported that LCD, back plate and dock connector cable fitted together perfectly. All the parts have been designed and perfectly fitted in iPad 3 body. According to 9 to 5 mac, new iPad 3 will have 1mm profile, bigger battery to support more on-scren pixels and a dual-led backlit system. It will have same length and height as iPad 2.
We assembled the back plate of iPad2 and iPad3(?) into the LCD panel by Sharp Corporation which we’ve got the other day. The points which the arrows indicate just the right size as screw holes. Now, it became clear that the LCD panel made by SHARP was designed for this back panel.
All screws are in right places, iPad 3 dock connector fits slightly thicker shell perfectly. iPad 3 has a camera hole almost same as iPad 2 when viewed from inside but outside hole of camera is different which is 7mm instead of 4.5mm. here are some pics from inside, from the back, dock connector, back plate.
